Awrizis — Czech hybrid metal band founded by Marek Frodys Pytlik in 2011

AWRIZIS is a hybrid-metal band from Czechia, founded by multi-instrumentalist Marek "Frodys" Pytlik in 2011. Its music combines melodic death, black, thrash and groove metal.

The first EP, "Shapes of Imagination," brought attention from an Italian label and was released via DeFox Records. Supported by live shows across the Czech Republic, it shaped the first full-length album, "Final Hybridation," released by Parat Magazine — the biggest Czech extreme-music magazine — and well received abroad too.

"Such a melancholic product of spine-chilling darkness, funky groove metal and unrelenting death/thrash metal… you cannot deny this album a listen." British Global Metal Apocalypse, on AWRIZIS

The success of "Final Hybridation" led to a partnership with the Czech label Metalgate: the split album "Damnation" (2016) and second full-length, "Dreadful Reflection" (2018), both supported by tours and music videos directed by Frodys himself. "Dreadful Reflection" also features Czech metal guests Chymus (Isacaarum), Bilos (Malignant Tumour) and Bruno (Krabathor, Hypnos).

All of that experience fed into the third full-length, "Gears of Fear," recorded during the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020. The fourth full-length, "My Heart Has No Home," followed in 2024.
